This young wife has a fine stacks of sheets. Laundrette is a poem about who live in a poor part of the city that they have only one thing in common and that is the Laundrette which everybody uses publicly. The poem mood and tone depends on each other. The 5th stanza is a positive stanza compared to the other stanzas. It uses "present" which is a positive word because everyone likes presents. It also uses clean which is positive because if things are clean people like it so it is positive. The reason it is positive because it uses christening which is purification so there's nothing more positive than christening.
